Please pardon the eraser bits and sketchy coloring
I believe that the eyes are one of the most beautiful parts on a human being, and I love trying to convey that beauty in my drawings. Any suggestions are welcome!
The eyes are my favorite part to draw, too! And this one is pretty good.
The upper lid is a bit sharp. You should work on softening it up a little bit in future pieces. The angle of the eyebrow is also a bit awkward, but that very well could just be an effect of the sharp eyelid.
My biggest critique would be in the iris and pupil area. The pupil should be a bit closer to the center, perhaps with a little shine on it. eyes are very commonly seen with a little shine around the pupil. The iris should then have a lot of texture to it. I'm not sure I could pull off that kind of texture I'm talking about in color, as that is something that is incredibly hard. For me at least. My medium is graphite pencils. Anyway, I'm not sure I could do very well to explain the kind of texture that you should shoot for in the iris, so you should check out this tutorial [link]. It's not my tutorial (I don't have a scanner and can't post my drawings) but I find it incredibly helpful. If you can improve using a graphite pencil, then you can work up to creating the same affect in color (which I have no idea how to do).
By the way, with the sharp eyelid it kind of makes it look like a part of some sort of sharp abstract piece. It's actually kind of cool.
I love this! Nice job on the light pencil strokes; it makes it look very realistic. Consider though that the whites of the eye aren't necessarily pure white. They're more of a creamy off white. Also, try to use different sketch pencils of different softnesses (is that a word? whatever i hope you get what i mean..) so you can show the depth and shadows of different parts of the eye, such as the eyelid.
Good work, but you need to add more details on pupil, and the black circle should be lowered down, cause it's supposed to be in the center of the blue circle. Part above the eye is also strange, maybe the more shading will correct that. Try to find some references, they will help you a lot.
